A very cool new addition to WBALTV.com today: Interactive Radar. Rather than a motionless radar image, now you’re in control. Track storms moving across Maryland, zoom into your street, even check out radar images from across the country.
The Interactive Radar links will appear on our homepage and weather sections today, but this link will take you directly there.
If you’re playing around with the features, be sure to check out the storm icons. You may have to seek out severe weather in other parts of the country to use them today, but they’re very interesting. Just roll your mouse over one of the icons and the radar plots the storm’s direction and indicates when it will arrive at certain locations.
And keep an eye on that page. There are more Interactive Radar features in the works for the future.
